#TheLifeIsSoExcitingTour

Another concert in the books. Another #TurntUp night that I won’t be forgetting anytime soon. This past Thursday, May 2nd, yours truly made the journey to the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC. (#DirtyMyrtle as I’ve come to know it. It’s never a good choice but always the right thing to do).

This time the headliners were Pusha T and Fabolous.

After crushing some red bull vodkas (go juice) and some anxious waiting, it was time. TURNUPTIME. Pusha T came out first and the crowd erupted. Push did mostly new material but he did perform “Popeye’s” originally by the Clipse. His newer songs performed included “Blocka”, “Millions”, “Exodus 23:1” and my personal favorite – his verse from “Mercy”. At that point in time when that beat dropped I entered gorilla mode. The crowd seemed to be in the same mindstate because when the Ric Flair “Woo!” came on the music cut and that’s the only thing you could hear.

Not to be outdone, Fabolous came out next and was #Niiiiiice. Too much Nice for one man to handle. Fab is probably one of my top 5 favorites even though he may not get as much publicity as some of the younger upcoming guys in the game. This was the first time I had seen him and he was everything I hoped he would be. He performed for honestly between an hour and an hour and a half just by himself. New school, old school, everything. He played “Young’N”, his verse from DJ Drama’s “Oh My”, “Breathe”, “Diamonds” (Soul Tape 2 song), “BITE”, “Only Life I Know” and “You Be Killin Em” among others.

The duo ended the night by playing the title track for the tour “The Life Is So Exciting” and it was icing on the cake.

Check these guys out if they’re coming to a city near you. They will shut the city down.
